5. If you hold a G4 visa, it expires on your official separation date with the Bank Group regardless of the expiration date stamped on the G4 visa or on your I-94 form, as does the visa of any of your G4 dependents and G5 employees. G4 staff and dependents have a 30-day grace period to make preparations for departure from the U.S. or to change to a different U.S. visa. (G5 visa holders have no grace period.)
If you or any of your G4 dependents leaves the U.S. within those 30 days, the G4 visa of the traveler becomes immediately invalid upon departure, and the traveler may not legally re-enter the U.S. on that G4 visa. Staff and dependent family members intending to stay in the U.S. longer than 30 days should obtain an appropriate visa prior to the end of the 30-day grace period.
